"Some people get up at the break of day, gotta go to work before it gets too late."
I have been busy busy busy! Sort of. This past weekend I FINALLY went and did that flea market in the park. Not bad. I "shared" a space with Bill (you can take up as much space as you want), so it was only $5 for my space instead of $10. And I made $65 in a little over five hours. Not bad! I had flea market stuff there, although not everything I have here to sell, and some crafts. I sold a scarf and two cell cozies from my crafts. I will put pictures of my flea market set up in my craft blog.
Since then I've found homes for the two remaining kittens (sort of... more later), gotten invited to do a poetry reading in Braddock by someone who found me online, got some more things done online, went to finally see Jess and Mike's apartment, and dropped off some stuff in Steve's office today after work. Including the sailor hat that says STEVE in rainbow colors that we got him at Idlewild. He asked me if I picked a one act to direct yet when he never actually asked me to direct one. But he doesn't remember asking Michelle to direct. Stupid. BTW, the alumni show IS going to be "Much Ado About Nothing," for which I'm totally trying out for KEANU's part. Hehehe.
I'm waiting to hear back from Future Ten about the plan I submitted to them. And still have to really jump into the full length play I've been outlining. It's kinda good I guess, b/c I think when I really get started on it, it's gonna be all I want to do for a while. Since I have two craft shows coming up and Althea's wedding and Rocky Horror all in September, it's good I didn't start yet. Of course, the One Acts and the alumni show will be right after that so, like always, there is no good time for anything!
I need to get together with Cara soon for her graduation/birthday. I will be delivering kittens this week, though. And Maria's birthday party is next weekend...
Oh yes, so there are more kittens. I have an appointment for Byron to get fixed in TWO WEEKS. I put in my application to get him fixed TWO MONTHS ago. And they have taken forever to do anything about it. Although they're giving me a great price: $60 for all his shots and getting him fixed. And of course, with two weeks to go, Lenore has more kittens. We didn't know she was pregnant b/c she has just never been normal size since the first litter, even though the first two were a while apart. She likes being plump I think. I kept feeling her belly for the lumps they get when they're pregnant, but I never felt anything. Dammit. So now there are FIVE more kittens. I'm not worried about it though. We're moving Lenore into the bedroom with the babies so Byron won't go near her until he's fixed. And I'm listing on craigslist as soon as they're almost ready to go instead of waiting so long and getting so attached to them. I found two people on craigslist this time right away. And a friend thinks her friends might want a couple of the new kittens. So it shouldn't be too bad. But if you're reading this and you want one, or know someone who does, let me know, please!!!
Ok, and before I forget, THIS MOVIE is rocking my world WAAAAY before it even is a thing! I think Gaz should be Marley and Carey be Cratchit, which will probably be the case since they're not listed with character names. So many good movies coming out! Tim Burton's making an Alice in Wonderland movie! And he's working with Crispin Glover on a project. Crispin Glover is also doing a movie about the Donner Party, rock! So good.
And by the way, I've never been a comic book or superhero kinda girl except for Batman, but I must tell you, along with Sin City and 300 being awesome, Wanted was really good, the new Incredible Hulk movie wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and Iron Man was FREAKING AMAZING! Loved it! And (SPOILER ALERT KINDA), they're making a sequel of it AND an Avengers movie along with some other Marvel heroes movies (Captain America, Thor) for 2010 and 2011. And you know what else is happening in 2010 and 2011? Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Parts One (November 2010) and Two (May 2011). Great years for movies ahead.
P.S.- Robert Downey Jr. is TOTALLY the new Johnny Depp. Watch Iron Man for similarities in appearance, speaking style and movements. So good. Never really knew one thing or the other about RDJ, but he was good in Zodiac, and he rocked my world in Iron Man. I will, unfortunately, go see Tropic Thunder to see if it's really as bad as I think, and hopefully it won't change my opinion of him.
Ok, one last thing before I go for now: I'm getting really excited about helping to plan Jess and Mike's wedding and the vacation we're all going on afterwards to Disney World. And although I will have to save a LOT of money to 1)be the maid of honor with dress and bachelorette party and all, 2)get a cool bridal shower and wedding present for them, and 3)go on the vacation afterwards and have a really awesome time there, which I swear will happen, I REALLY want to plan a fall trip to NYC in a month or two. I have two reasons for going besides the usual fact that it's awesome and I can visit friends there. 1)Equus will be playing on Broadway featuring Daniel Radcliffe and Richard Griffiths, and 2)there will be a show called Absinthe showing there that is described as Cirque du Soleil meets Rocky Horror Picture Show. I'm so in. Jess and Mike were talking about going up there for Thanksgiving. I wonder if they're still interested. Will ask later and write about it!
For now, I'm doing the writing and the crafting. And the selling, hopefully! But RIGHT now, I'm going to rest a bit before dinner. Too much Starbucks after being gone for so long. Starbucks, there's another journal entry of its own...
